Some people knew them as Garibaldis, others simply as raisin biscuits, but whatever you called these long, flat cookie bars, they surely have been missed since they disappeared from supermarket shelves. Crisp in texture, each not-too-sweet biscuit has a hefty helping of dried currants baked right in, which adds that familiar fruity tartness to every bite. And since a single biscuit measures about 7¼"x 2¾", it's perforated so you can divide it into five easy-to-eat sections. Garibaldi biscuits are the perfect complement to tea, coffee, or ice-cold milk. Each 3.5 oz. package contains 2 long Garibaldi biscuits.

  • A hefty helping of dried currants is baked right in
  • Each package contains 2 biscuits
  • Each biscuit can be broken into 5 easy-to-eat sections
  • Set of 5 packages

Find old-fashioned treats that are still as tasty and wholesome as always at The Vermont Country Store. Garibaldi Biscuits are a perfect complement to tea, coffee, or ice-cold milk.

What Does A Memory Taste Like? When the new Orton Catalog arrived this time and I looked through it, that did it. I was determined to not just look at the raisin bars, I was going to order! When they arrived all the way from the East Coast I just stared at them for awhile trying to remember. Finally I unwrapped a bar and bit in. The memory had become a living experience and a delicious one, too! Thinking back about 75 or 80 years became instantly possible.. Thanks for stocking Garibaldi biscuits! June 26, 2013
Finally Tried These! Have always wanted to try these biscuits! So glad I finally did! The currants offer a nice tang to the crispy cookie cracker! Great for my afternoon coffee break! I am sure I will come back for more! September 22, 2014
We've been looking for these We had these growing up in Upstate NY and thought they were just going to be a memory until we saw them for sale at the Vermont Country Store. Thank you!! August 5, 2014
Brings back very fond memories While I absolutely loved these biscuits, the one major drawback is the packaging. Upon receipt, you need to tape the back seal; for it often breaks open. June 18, 2014
My favorite cookie memory...... The only cookies I had as a child were Nabisco's Fig Newtons and Graham Crackers and the Sunshine Biscuit Co's Raisin Biscuits. These little crispy, lightly sweetened, thin, dry little crackers with a brushed egg white gloss layered with raisin jam were my favorite. Not salty or fat but naturally raisin sweet. I loved them. I just signed up with VCS today. I received a welcome email, clicked to shop and what did I see???? These jewels are my very first online order. Thank you for having these. I am thrilled.....and cannot wait to open the package and pull them apart and travel back to childhood for a moment....... June 15, 2014
Brings Back Pleasant Memories Your raisin bisquits remind me of a cookie my Mom used to buy that were made from another company. These are the closest replica of those long ago cookies that are no longer on the market. I recently gave some to my sister and found that she too liked them and was grateful that I found them. I will be sure to order again. Thank you for the opportunity to walk down memory lane. Kandice Kepner May 27, 2014
I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED!! These are so not what I remembered because they are too dry and crispy! I raved about them [before I opened them] and promptly gave some away to family. They have yet to finish them and are not impressed. One of my favorite food memories of growing up in the Northeast is now deflated. May 7, 2014
Jubilee/Garibaldi Biscuits After looking in every store that would possible carry Jubilee kitchen Wax I had given up that I would ever find it. Going through a catalog that had come in the mail it was found. I am now cleaning my counters with it and in no time they will shine like my counters that I had years ago, even then it took awhile before the shine came through. So Happy. The biscuits my daughter -in-law saw and wanted, they are very good also-not to sweet-just a nice snack. May 1, 2014
