gift recieved just in time This was a gift to my daughter and her family in CA.I didn't get to taste the peppermint bark or see the tinsel or candles clipped to the tree, as they visited MN at Thanksgiving! January 4, 2014
Too thick Too thick so to hard to break into pieces. Dark chocolate flavor was excellent but the white chocolate was too over powering in whole. Peppermint was good. December 14, 2013
A Gift to a Chocoholic My mother-n-law loves Chocolate and so does her son!! And she loves peppermint and the two are a great combination. At night she'll have a piece while she listens to her e-book before going to bed. It will become a favorite in her Xmas box every year. Definitely recommend buying it for the person who likes mint and chocolate! December 31, 2012
Grandma's Christmas Surprise As a child, I lived far away from one set of Grandparents. I missed them often. I only got to see them once every other summer when we would take a family vacation half way across the country to the farm. Thankfully, my Grandma loved to write. We would get letters and call her often. I learned how to bake several delicious things from my Grandma during those few-and-far between vacations on the farm: Oatmeal Bread, Cereal Cookies, Peppernuts (cookies), Divinity, and Peppermint Bark. Peppermint Bark was my favorite. Every Christmas, as a child, I looked forward to getting a box in the mail postmarked in Iowa. When I saw the box, I knew delicious things were waiting inside: Peppernuts, Divinity, and that awesome peppermint bark. Many years later, Grandma being gone and missed, I carry on the tradition of making peppernuts and making or buying peppermint bark at Christmas. Some of the magic is lost, in no longer getting that delicious care package in the mail, but taking a bite of Grandma's creations, that I continue to make or buy at holidays, keeps the memories alive. Love you, Grandma! November 27, 2012
