Chocolate Dinosaur Egg Tradition Continues Our first Grandchild was born in 1992,what joy. That was the first Christmas we purchased the dinosaur egg.Two years later we were blessed with twin grandchildren who continued to enjoy the dinosaur egg tradition. Each year they took turns to hammer open the wonderful egg. In 2007 our last grandchild was born and the joy was extended by watching the older children introduce their cousin to the wonderful egg,and the proccess for handling the breakage. What made it so special this year was that our youngest grandchilds mother (My beloved daughter)was in a terrible accident which resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury ( yes through many blessings she is recovering, long way to go but recovering) Our youngest grandchild endured much, we tried to create as much normalcy as possible. As Christmas drew near she asked if things would be different, would we still be able to have a Chocolate Dinosaur Egg. Christmas Morning as the family gathered at our house, I watched as the older grandchildren took the littlest one and went through the ritual of breaking the egg, bringing smiles to the smallest grandchild and tears to many others. It was my sweetest memory this Christmas. Thank you for such great service and wonderful products Jacquie Hurlbut January 4, 2013
Educational! This was a gift to three children who have been studying dinosaurs. They were able to not only name, but tell me something about each of them before they ate them. Later they told me the chocolate was really good. January 4, 2013
Dinosaur Egg This is such a cute idea; however, the first egg arrived crushed. Vermont Country Store sent out another egg that arrived in time for Christmas; however, it was crushed also. Vermon Country Store issued me a credit. Service is awesome, but the egg is just too fragile for shipping. January 3, 2013
Cute and Delicious! Got this for my 7 year old nephew for Christmas. He was delighted to find the miniature dinosaurs inside. He insisted on sharing them. Not only was it a really cute idea but the chocolate was actually delicious. This one stays on the list of gift ideas. December 27, 2012
My 4 y.o. granddaughter loves it. My 4 y.o. old granddaughter loves dinosaurs. She has a colletion of them and a series of dinosaur books that she plays with and reads constantly. She was so excited to receive her chocolate egg with babies inside for Christmas. We have to keep them in the frig. because she refuses to eat them. Thank you so much for this wonderful product. I've never been disappointed with a Country store order December 26, 2012
