Way too sweet according to Great Aunt Dorothea I bought the Pecan Divinities for my 89-year-old great aunt. She loves sweets and had been talking about how she used to love divinity. So, I surprised her and sent a box from the Vermont Country Store. I told her that I was going to write a review and to please give her honest opinion (since I didn't eat any of the candy myself -- I'm 800 miles away from her location). She said that the divinity was way too sweet. This is from a woman who loves sweets and has eaten sweets all her life. Mom's Favorites My 92 year old mother was hungry for the candies that she and dad would buy many years ago when they would have a little extra spending money, during those lean post WWII years. She was hungry for them and could not find a local store in St. Petersburg, Florida that sold them. We sent her all three and upon arrival,they were an absolute joy. She did not share with any of her friends! She ate them over a 3 week period. She said all were wonderful, as well as the caramel marshmallow and orange slices covered in chocolate.
