English crumpets are toaster breads that originated in the U.K. and remain popular there today. But crumpets are still uncommon on this side of the pond. Although similar to what we call English muffins—especially the "craters" that hold the topping—English Crumpets are made from a different dough with a slightly sweeter taste. And you don't have to split them in half. All you need to do is pop these English crumpets into the toaster then cover with your favorite spread. Fat free, sugar free, and low in sodium. 8 crumpets per 12½ oz. package.

  • Crumpets are fat-free, sugar-free, low in sodium
  • English crumpets are like English muffins but slightly sweeter
  • Just stick in toaster, no need to split apart

Treat your taste buds to specialties from across the pond or across our nation, when you shop at The Vermont Country Store. Bring a bit of Britain to your breakfast table, with these authentic-tasting English crumpets.

Luv 'em! These are a great change from plain toast or biscuits with breakfast. Also, great as a snack with fruit spread or peanut butter. OR, just toasted and buttered a bit with tea. February 10, 2015
Stale Have eaten crumpets all my life (73 years). These were stale to the point of not edible. Will not order again. January 9, 2015
I'm hooked! I'd never had crumpets before, but thought the description sounded great. I purchased one 2-pack, and have since ordered 8 more! Love the crispiness on the outside, and soft middle after toasting. They are sugar free and fat free! I have eaten them with peanut butter and apple butter. I am going to try with honey, and different jams. These are addicting! December 23, 2014
the real deal! my husband is from london, so i had to get these. we go back several times a years, and i can tell you there is NO such thing as an english muffin in britian! if you like english muffins, you'll LOVE these! a little butter, jam, or honey. YUMMY!!! October 17, 2014
fat free, sugar free I was really surprised at how good these were. Throw in the toaster for breakfast or a tuna sandwich for lunch. Delicious ! October 13, 2014
Product as I remember I had these while I was visiting England and looked for them when I returned home. Used to find them in our local Publix store but not now. Was very happy to find them at Vermont Country Store. I do enjoy them at breakfast with my favorite toppings as peanut butter and jam, maple butter and plan butter. Love the things I find at Vermont Country Store August 23, 2014
Good for you and Delish too! These crumpets were so good. They are fresh and moist and hold all the good butter or jam in those little holes. I really enjoyed them and the fact that they are not full of all the bad stuff. July 2, 2014
Found them again! Years ago, when I lived in Texas, our neighbor used to keep me stocked up on these because she was really sweet and knew how much I missed my English goodies (having emigrated with my parents many years before). I left home, returned to London for a few years, in fact, and was very fussy about the crumpets there. Most of them weren't quite right: too thick, too heavy, too strong on the baking soda... Earlier this year, chatting on the phone with my old neighbor I asked where she got the crumpets. She said Vermont Country Store, and I was so happy because I'd been checking you guys out for other things. I immediately ordered a couple of packages of crumpets along with other goodies, and was thrilled to find that they were still the best crumpets I've ever eaten in my life. This coming from a (former) Brit! Thank you, thank you. I love them toasted just a bit, slathered in butter, one topped with melted cheddar and hot sauce (after toasting just cover with cheese and pop in the micro for 30sec), the other with PB&J. I even got my Maryland hubby addicted. He keeps asking when we are having crumpets again. So I've just placed a much larger order. Yummy for our tummies! May 21, 2014
