Great cookies! I ordered these because they reminded me of cookies my mom bought when I was a child. These were much better, though! January 1, 2014
just excellent just terrific w/ a cup of morning tea. wish they came in refills and not just available in the tin. the tin is darling but 1 of them is enough. I would love having the spiced windmill cookies year round. December 3, 2013
Great tin! I like the tin, which has a hinged top best. It has a lovely design. The cookies are delicious, but a little too buttery for me. I'd have preferred a drier cookie, but they are still very flavorful. February 6, 2013
windmills of my mind... I loved windmill cookies when I was a kid--and everything Dutch, for that matter (never did get those wooden shoes for Christmas... Do you guys at the VCS think you could hook me up?). Besides the eight years when I was living in California and found a store that imported real 'speculaas' from the Netherlands, I've had to settle for the cheap ones made by commercial (U.S.) bakeries. Now--where I'm living, anyway--even those are impossible to find, so I was really happy to see the real deal in the VCS catalogue. These were extra-crispy, spicy and delicious (went fast) and that very-keepable, hinged blue & white tin will be used to store my own home-baked (but not-quite-as-good) cookies soon. Thanks for making this product available. January 7, 2013
Cookies are very good, and tin is beautful! I bought these last Christmas for my husband, who is a big fan of windmill cookies; I wanted to give him true windmill cookies from Holland. He liked them alot, and I thought they were very good, unique from the cheaper ones in the store. This is going to be a purchase again this year, and love the reusable tin. November 20, 2012

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Spiced Windmill Cookies …

"Please keep these in stock! The cookies are lovely with coffee, but, better yet, the tin itself is the perfect size for one batch of my miracle-working homemade rugelah, which I regularly give as gifts. It is the most beautiful tin, and in a hard-to-find size! Many thanks for discovering it!" - Debra Baldwin, Irving, TX

"These traditional Dutch windmill cookies, called speculaas in The Netherlands, are a wonderful treat anytime. The tin is beautiful, and a real keeper for homemade cookies as well. Nothing tastes like my Dutch windmill cookies; they have been my favorite for a long time." - Ann, Santa Rosa, CA
