Sicilian Fig Biscuits

Handmade Sicilian Cookies Are Filled with Figs and More

Called “cucidati,” the Sicilian term for “little bracelets,” these luscious little pastries are more than just fig-filled biscuits. A rich cookie shell, topped with rock sugar and colored nonpareils, surrounds a fig paste enhanced with apricot, almonds, raisins, semisweet chocolate, and a little rum, for a soft, dense cookie we can’t wait to enjoy. Made in small batches by a third-generation Italian family who saved original family recipes and now live in the U.S. 7-8 cookies per 6.5 oz. package.

  • Dense and delicious fig-paste cookie
  • Coated with rock sugar and nonpareils
  • Made by a third-generation Italian family

Bucellati cucidati, better known here as Sicilian fig cookies, are fruity, soft, and delicious.

If you love Figs...you must try these cookies My husband is Sicilian and these cookies reminded him of being back home and being a child. I have not found these any place else and they were great. January 13, 2013
This product is good but not great! I tried these with great anticipation and found them to be very dry and the crust not flaky at all. December 29, 2012
Scilian Fig Cookies I moved from New York to Texas and as you know you can't get these cookies down here. I was so glad to see them in your catalog. I ordered them right away. They tasted real good. I would recommend them to anyone. December 29, 2012
My Italian mother-in -law would make these cookies minus the sprinkles every year for Christmas for over 30 years. We lost her a few years back and miss her and the fig cookies. I am glad I found these as they are close to hers. December 28, 2012
Yummy! very good cookies; taste like my grandmother used to make December 26, 2012
A Taste of Days Gone By Being 100% Italian, I have to say that the Sicilian Fig biscuits were delicious! The cookies had a tender flaky crust and the filling had a perfect amount of spices and creamy figs. This is a cookie my mom used to make and always a favorite of mine. Sadly, mom passed away last month but taking that first bite of cookie brought wonderful, happy memories of mom and me baking together and getting ready for Christmas. December 26, 2012
Sicilian Fig Biscuits My mother-in-law use to make these cookies but can not cook anymore and missed having them for the Holidays. She was happy to receive the box. These are close to hers but not exact. Each person makes them a bit different but it helped her with her Christmas memories and that was great. They are good. December 25, 2012
Grandma & Moms cuchiardardi's I purchased the cuchiardis as they were something my Mom always made at Christmas. Never would I have believed that someone would be selling these. I gave one package to my sister and she also was amazed , we truly loved them even though the ingredients were not exactly like mama's. We enjoyed them and also all the memories that it brought back of how much work it took for mama to make these, and how only certain people would be given maybe one or two when visiting. Thank you for wonderful cookies and bringing back so many wonderful memories. Oh I certainly am happy I discoverd them December 19, 2012
