Some people knew them as Garibaldis, others simply as raisin biscuits, but whatever you called these long, flat cookie bars, they surely have been missed since they disappeared from supermarket shelves. Crisp in texture, each not-too-sweet biscuit has a hefty helping of dried currants baked right in, which adds that familiar fruity tartness to every bite. And since a single biscuit measures about 7¼"x 2¾", it's perforated so you can divide it into five easy-to-eat sections. Garibaldi biscuits are the perfect complement to tea, coffee, or ice-cold milk. Each 3.5 oz. package contains 2 long Garibaldi biscuits.

  • A hefty helping of dried currants is baked right in
  • Each package contains 2 biscuits
  • Each biscuit can be broken into 5 easy-to-eat sections
  • Set of 12 packages

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vintage Memory My Mom is 91 and it is very hard to find a treat for her. She always says " Don't get me anything." I am always listening carefully when she reminisces for ideas. When she was a very young girl in school the teacher had them put their heads down on their desks to rest. When break time was over they would raise their little heads and a raisin cookie was waiting. The way she described the cookie was exactly like the cookies that I order periodically. She loves them and has them in the morning with her coffee.❤️ August 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by sharing childhood I remember eating this cookies as a child and when I "found" them @ Vermont Country store I had to share them w/ my spouse who is now addicted to them. I rarely get 1 or 2 from a package! June 8, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by I'm sad Couldn't wait to try these cookies. What I expected was a soft cookie with chewy raisins. What I got was hard, dry cookie with hard, dry currants that played havoc with my teeth. I was disappointed and sad I didn't get the cookies of my youth. June 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by England, 1973 Tasting these put me right back there! These used to be one of my favorite biscuits. They're delicious... not too sweet, slightly chewy, fun to eat. Thanks for the memories! May 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Raisin biscuits of childhood Delighted to discover these in your catalogue. Fond memory of childhood was awakened. They used to be a wonderful 'not too sweet' cookie which disappeared, but these currant beauties are a perfect replacement. Glad the English don't discard good things . February 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Newly Found Raisin Cookies I have been debating on buying these for quite some time. My memories of the originals are slightly different. While these are tasty and not too sweet, I remember the originals as having much more fruit so they were not as dry. I might order them again in the future February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thrilled To Have Found These Again I was so thrilled to find these raisin biscuits again! I remember them so fondly from my childhood. The taste, the texture, the chewiness ... everything is just as I remember. I immediately sent some to my brother who also was surprised and pleased to see them again. I have given packets to many of my friends -- most are overjoyed because of their own fond memories. Even those who had no memories of them fall in love with them. I am addicted and will continue to buy them as long as VCS continues to provide them. February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by my son is happy now 55 year old son was reminiscing about how much he enjoyed the raisin biscuits of his youth and bemoaned the fact they were no longer available. HAH! I had just received the Vermont Country Store catalog and while walking down memory lane remember seeing these cookies. I ordered the smaller number of packages and my happy son went through them in a hurry. Now have purchased 12 of them and they are so much better than the sugar and grease filled cookies now on the market will keep purchasing them for all of us. January 11, 2016
