Authentic Potica Pastry is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good, but.... These are excellent in taste, delivered and boxed well. My complaint is that for the price... they are way too small. I had 6 sent by mail for the holidays. The Vermont catalog stated...free shipping if over a certain price. However.. that was extremely misleading, because to get free S&H, you had to have all products sent to same address! I did not see this mentioned anywhere in the catalog, although it may have been there somewhere in small print. Although I enjoyed mine and other family members told me they enjoyed theirs...I would really have to reconsider about purchasing again due to the price of the product, its small size and the S&H costs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I guess I was remembering potica my neighbor used to make, which was easily twice the size of this wee little loaf, but it's way too small to pay $30 in my opinion.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT WHAT I EXPECTED I expected this to be a delicate pastry with some crispiness to it but that's not what it was. The flavor was not particularly what I expected either. So...I guess that this is a question of my expectations not being met and, in reality, I had no reason to have an expectation!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Traditional Potica Over the past few years, I have ordered Potica from Vermont Country Store when I didn't think I would have enough time to make it myself. Sometimes it was great, sometimes less so. This year, the packaging was much larger, the potica roll was smaller, and it was made with brown sugar, which is not traditional. It really does change the flavor. Our grandmothers in eastern Europe had honey, not brown sugar. Maybe you need a new provider???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes -- it IS just like Grandma's Our grandmother was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and emigrated to the U.S. She made walnut potica, and it was JUST LIKE THIS. I sent this to my eldest sister, and she agrees. So nice to keep this nut-roll magic alive in the 21st century!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tastes like homemade We have been ordering this Potica Pastry from the Vermont Store for several years and have never been disappointed. It tastes like homemade. Delivery and packaging is excellent. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AUTHENTIC POTICA PASTRY For years I have made Potica and it is not the easiest thing to make. When I heard about The Vermont Country Store, I ordered the pecan potica. I have to admit that it was actually better than mine. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A taste of my childhood My mother's family is from north central Illinois and there was an Armenian bakery that would only make Potica as special order items during the holidays. After that bakery closed we tried a few mail order Poticas but nothing came close until this one! A slice warmed up and slathered in butter is an absolute slice of heaven. Thank you so much!!
