Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mommatish This soap is good for poison oak too.
We always had this on hand for laundry day, but it also is good for poison oak. If you have come in contact with poison oak, wash down with this soap, and it cuts the oils from the plant, so you avoid the break out.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Almost Jane Best Stain Remover Ever
My mother used Fels-Naptha regularly as long as I can remember. So of course I now do too, but not just because of Mom. I use it because IT REALLY WORKS! Here's a partial list of stains it has removed: yellow mustard, grease, salad dressing, coffee, blueberry, grape, cranberry, ink, blood, mayonnaise. In other words - the really tough ones. It's even removed stains that have already been washed & dried at least once before! You will never regret trying Fels-Naptha. PS - it's very long-lasting as long as you're careful to drain and air it after use [don't let it stay wet].

I have only used the soap once, but I remember my mom using it, as we didn't have a washing machine in our house. Thanks for the memories!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Countrygirl Glad Fels-Naptha is still being made!!
This soap brings back many warm childhood memories!!
Fels-Naptha soap was always in our home. My dad always kept it handy for everything. He rubbed it on my poison ivy (which I always was getting into), used it to wash his greasy hard working mechanic hands and Mom used it for really greasy clothes stains.
Great old-fashioned soap with many modern uses even today.
Glad to have found it at The Vermont Country Store!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by bird mom I never thought I'd find fells naptha
I am in my 60's,from the time I was a small child I
watched my mother and grandmother use Fells Naptha
soap. I used it myself always reaching for it for those
hard stains (grass) sauce, etc..
It had taken a few years looking for it .Every laundry
day I would be reaching & mumbling at the loss of a
great product. I found it in a magazine Vermont country
store and have ordered it 8 bars at a time.
Thank You Vermont Country Store !

My mom and grandmother always kept a bar of Fels Naptha in the laundry area, and it was used for everything from ink stains to hair dye remover to grease spots-be-gone. It is good to find it again and continue the wonderful cleaning properties with my grandkids!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TheOkieKid This stuff works. Buy it.
I bought this when I saw it advertised in a Vermont Country Store email a while back. It sounded too good to be true, but since it was so inexpensive, I thought I'd give it a try.
This has gotten both blood and tomato stains out of clothing. It will even - occassionally - get out stains that are set in from previous washings. Plus, it lasts for a very long time. I've just barely used 10% of the first bar.
This is probably the most effective, cost-efficient way to get stains out of clothes.
