Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England. The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills. For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the tablecloth while it’s line drying. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. USA.

Used these for many years We've had several Mountain Weave tablecloths, some are over 20 years old. I wash them cold and hang dry them after a 10 spin in the dryer. They always look good, there has been little fading. I favor blue, red and green, our dishes have those colors. My sister-in-law favors the ecru and rust for her southwest decor. June 30, 2014
Major shrinkage I bought the Mountain Weave tablecloth and was happy with the color and size, but when I first washed it following instructions, it shrank so much that it now barely covers the table it was meant for. It didn't just shrink, it shrank A LOT! June 25, 2014
Love these tablecloths I have been buying these tablecloths for years & years. Have one in every color & size. There is some shrinkage, but I allow for that, because I do put them in the dryer. This blue, red & white is a new & beautiful vivid color, just right for patriotic holidays. June 24, 2014
these tablecloths last forever I have used these tablecloths forever, I think. They hold up under all the usual strains of eating table life, still retaining their color and vibrancy through many washings. They are, in a word, wonderful. May 12, 2014
Money well spent. Great tablecloth, washes well, doesn't fade, very little shrinkage, remove from dryer as soon as it's done. Worth every penny. May 5, 2014
easy care and beautiful I have had these table cloths for a long time - some I got at yard sales, some I got from a friend who moved. They last forever, they wash easily and they look homey on the table. April 29, 2014
I LOVE this tablecloth! I have wanted to own a tablecloth like this for more than 30 years, when I first saw it on the table of my friend. Having 8 children, it seemed we were always having to pinch pennies, but I got some money for my 70th birthday and thought, "This is it!" I took the plunge, ordered the tablecloth and couldn't be happier. Forest green is my favorite color, and a theme color in our home. Thank you so much for your high quality products! March 18, 2014
hard to find a cotton tablecloth Buy a size larger and shrink using hot wash water. The weave is very loose and the tablecloth will shrink over time anyway. I bought an ecru/beige tablecloth and the color was very disappointing so I shrunk it and bleached it. It now fits and is a lovely ivory color, much more suitable to a diningroom. I think it would be much better if these came preshrunk and in solid colors suitable to either kitchen or diningroom. The choices are too "folksy" for my taste and the only way I knew how badly the cloths would shrink over time was because I had bought one and after a year, it was too small for the table. And, no, it is impossible to remove food stains without bleach so the colors ought to be colorfast, solid and more subtle. February 17, 2014

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Traditional Mountain Weave Pure Cotton Tablecloths …

"My husband and I have only been married for 7 years today, but I "inherited" a whole house full of stuff when we got married. There was a whole box full of these tablecloths, and most had been used only a few times, but many had seen a number of years of use, some up to 20 and were still serviceable. I saved the red and green one for Christmas, and the blue one for everyday, and the rest I shared with family...they are still in great shape!" - cathi cogle, Seymour, TN

"I have been ordering Mountain Weave tablecloths and napkins for about 30 years. Even the oldest ones are still in good shape. Our family uses them every day, as well as for company meals. Whenever we changed decor or table size, we just ordered more. They all come in handy in our new house, where we have room to set up several tables at one time for parties. They can't be beat for easy care, cozy appearance, and durability." - Shannon Chamberlin, Little Rock, AR

"These are my favorite tablecloths. A friend from New England introduced me to them years ago. The best thing about them is no ironing is required! And they come in a host of wonderful colors. They are great for everyday use and also for company. I love the feel of the cotton; it's so much better than the polyester table linens everyone else sells." - Kathleen Panek, Springfield, PA

"I inherited several of these wonderful tablecloths from my mother, and I know a few are over 30 years old. The best part is that I have colors that are no longer offered! Now that I have a new adjustable table, I'm so glad I can order some new for myself, in colors my mother couldn't get!" - Wendy Saunders, Oyster Bay, NY

”The woven table cloth is beautiful and easy care! It can be dried on the air setting without shrinkage and removed promptly with no need for ironing. My family and friends have commented on how nice it looks. I plan on purchasing it another color.” - Karol-Ann Rogers, Feeding Hills, MA
