Batiste Culotte Slip
Nice, but pricey
Well made. Like the lace trim. Fits well. However, the material is thin, making this item overpriced.

Don't order a larger size as customer comments suggest.
I am so glad to get these with the warm weather heading our way. These culottes are the best for under skirts and long sundresses not only during the summer heat waves, but also during the winter cold. I had read customer responses and they recommended ordering a size or two larger which I did. They are way too big and will have to be returned. Now I will test return and reorder policies for the Vermont Country Store. I am sure that like their products, everything will go smoothly and I will remain a very satisfied customer.

I Love Them!
I bought these to go under some dresses that are somewhat see-thru, and I'm also wearing them under some everyday dresses I have. They are very comfortable, and I don't have to worry about people seeing through my clothes.
Thank You Vermont Country Store, for helping me to keep my modesty in tact!

An absolute necessity for long skirt wearers
The cotton batiste lightness is just perfect and no one else makes it or makes it this well. I wear long skirts with petticoats and this slip underneath. Conservative clothing is not easy to find these days. The slip makes it easier on the inner thighs esp. during walking and the clothe breathes well which I can't say for nylon slips.
It was out-of-stock for a while and I kept thinking... where else am I going to find it?
Thank you for re-stocking it.

Favorite Slip for 30+ years
I started wearing this slip as a teenager more than 30 years ago and it is still my favorite. My grandmother loved it, my aunt loves it, my cousin loves it, and now my daughters love it, too. There is NEVER any static problem with this slip as there is with most slips of synthetic fiber. Also, in our 100F summers, it helps keep us cool...no sticky, hot nylon against skin; our inner thighs are cool and happy in dresses in the summer <grin>.
There is one thing that could be improved on it:
We've always had to buy 2 sizes larger than what we usually wear, because the back of the slip seems to be made for very slim women...not women with curves....especially not if she wants to sit without the crotch ripping out. My cousin and I have solved this problem by sewing in a (point-down) triangular shaped gusset in the lower back.
