A good windbreaker I ordered this in the cream color; the first time I wore it, I found it to be a good windbreaker. It is also warm, but is not long enough to do a double wrap as described; I had looked forward to that, when I ordered it. That's why I gave it four stars instead of five. Perfect to go with coats that do not have hoods. I have some great winter coats but not all of them have hoods and I live in very cold, snowy country. Hats crush my hair but the hood scarf doesn't! January 26, 2013

Warm and long enough for protection on windy Manhattan streets. Gave it to my sister for Christmas. She waits on windy, elevated outdoor subway platforms in the morning on her way to work. This long hood scarf covers her head completely, tucks into the back neck of her coat, then wraps around the front to protect her nose, mouth and throat from freezing wind. She finds it cozy and moisture repellant when walking along 42nd Street from subway exit to office in Times Square. And MADE IN VERMONT is the best news! Great Purchase! I purchased the Vermont Hood Scarf in periwinkle a couple of Winters ago, and am very happy with not only the price, and appearance, but also the functionality of this item. It especially works great when you are going outdoors and the weather changes, you have a nice, warm hood and scarf that doesn't mess up your hair! Also, the periwinkle is a beautiful color of blue.
