Men's Cardigan Sweatshirt
FAITHFUL AS AN OLD FRIEND
This order brings my total of "sweatshirt-material cardigans" to four, and I shall probably buy a few more!
These are splendid sweaters-- the fabic is very warm, as well as non-binding & non-restricting. I'm particularly pleased with the pockets---they are a good size for those incidentals one always ends up carrying.
Believe me, I've had cardigans with unusable postage-stamp-sized pockets, constantly regretting having wasting my money---the Vermont Country Store Sweatshirt Cardigans can comfortably and securely hold a man's wallet, if need be!
About the only "Improvement" I could think of would be offering another cardigan, using a slightly heavier fleece sweatshirt fabric. For evenings & nights when the cold winds howl, a slightly thicker cardigan would be just the trick!
I particularly like these as "under-jacket-wear;" worn over a smooth-fabric medium-weight turtleneck; under a heavy sportcoat.
I have several "Fire-Hose Canvas" sportcoats; the heavy cotton jacket, over a sweatshirt cardigan, atop a good turtleneck, has the warmth of most decent winter car-coats, but with much more style!
I'm quite sure these will last well, too, for the one I bought when they were first listed in the catalogue, (it must have been 4-6 years ago) looks nearly as nice as the ones bought last month! Unlike knit-fabric cardigans, these don't seem inclined to doing stretching-out.
I think the total "maintenance" I've needed to do was re-anchoring a button! That's why I said they were as "Faithful as an Old Friend:" If I'm chilly, I know I can put on one of these cardigans & quickly be warm and comfy!
I also wear a cardigan on particularly cold nights, over a heavy long-sleeved T-shirt, with my OTHER old-time Vermont stand-by: A t-shirt-material "night-cap!"
Warm As Toast!
