Rated 5 out of 5 by Just like Gramma's These flour sacks are still perfect for drying dishes. Especially for the crystal and china in your China Cabinet. They are lint free and soft enough to use on your eyeglasses. July 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Multi uses towels I have loved using Flour sack towels for years. They dry well as dish towels, hand towels, hair drying towels. You can wash them with no extra care. Just through them into the laundry and they come out clean. I keep extra on hand so I always have them when and if I need one. June 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by memories I remember my grandma using flour sacks for just about everything from quilts, play clothes for me & my sister to wear on the farm, to dish clothes and drying rags!!! Love them, and will be ordering more for myself and for gifts. June 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Soft Cloth I recall my parent having these around 1950s. My mother-in-law used them too same time-frame. One of hers was made in Egypt. ABSORBENT for drying. Thank you for having these!!!!! May 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Mother I bought these for my mother who complained about the dish towels sold at the local big box stores not being absorbent. She longed for the old fashioned cotton towels that actually dried her pots and pans. I got these for her and she is absolutely delighted! January 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Mom was missing 'flour sack towels' I can remember drying pots, pans, and dishes after dinner at Grandmas. I grew up with a dishwasher. It wasn't until I moved back into my parents home when I heard my Mom wishing she had some flour sack towels. I'm the chief pot and pan scrubber as well as the dishwasher loader. I now understand why she really missed these towels. These are cotton. The kitchen towels you can buy in the department stores are a loop knit. Yes they are kind of absorb. THESE TOWELS ARE GREAT! USE THEM, BLEACH THEM, WASH THEM AND DO IT AGAIN!!! January 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Larger than I thought I use flour sack towels to applique motifs on and give as gifts. I'd never purchased them before from Vermont Country, and thought I'd give them a try. I ordered the regular size and was pleasantly surprised at how big they were! Thank God I didn't order the larger size or I would be decorating bath towels! October 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't absorb. Since I know these towels are 100% cotton, I assume that they are coated with something that prevents them from absorbing water which is really annoying in the kitchen. I hope to be able to strip them of their coating. October 13, 2015
