Cheaply made, but I like them anyway
I was disappointed in the construction of these candlesticks. The base is so lightweight (hollow, thin plastic) and so narrow that the weight of plugging in the cord pulls them off the window sill! I had to find ways to prop them up or let them drift around until they found some sort of balance, only rarely centered on the sill. I even tried taping them up but they continued to fall over. Bizarrely, with that said, I still like them, because from outside they look like real candles--the light is very appealing. So I kept them, but I know that every year I'm going to take them out and try to find some way to keep them on the sill. They aren't really worth the price, and I don't think it would take much expense or redesign to fix them. Let me know if you do.

Yesteryear comes home again !
I purchased the 5 Tier Window Candoliers just like the ones my Grandmother used to have and I love them.
I've had the singles, doubles and triples and always wanted the 5 Tier Lights and now Christmas is complete as it was when I was a kid !
The Service was Great and my Deliveries were on time as promised.
I love the Vermont Country Store Catalog, it's full of classic and new items and is fun just to browse !

Not what expected
I realize you get what you pay for and these were inexpensive. Nice idea but cheaply made of plastic. I ordered four and one fell apart immediately. Such a nice idea and would buy a different better made product.

brightens the night
I purchased these (and other single lights) because they were on sale. They were well worth it - they are very bright and look beautiful in the windows from the outside. I think it's called "a welcoming look on a cold winter's night" =]
Thank you!

Old Fashioned Memories
Here is another of my favorites from when I was growing up. Always had these in the window at Christmas. Bought the five-tier and have had it lit all through the Christmas season. Thanks for the memories!!

Just like the ones we used to know.
We have had the 5 tier lights for many years and they needed to be replaced. We couldn't believe we saw the same product so many years later for sale in your catalog. They're exactly the same. No more worries about a fire starting from worn wires. Thanks.

Just Like Mom's
A highlight of every Christmas was placing lights like these in all our front windows. Mom always said they reminded her of the candles they put in the windows during WWII to remember the soldiers and help them "find their way home." I was so pleased to see these in an email ad sent to me. They are just like the ones Mom used to have and they brought a smile to both of our faces. I have now started a new tradition for my children. Thanks for the memories.

Lovely candoliers!
I inherited a whole set of candoliers from my parents, the very ones that we had used all during my childhood. I had them shipped to my home, but the shipping company lost the box they were in!
This was more than ten years ago, and I had given up trying to find these candoliers. I bought ones that were similar, in single-candle configurations, but they weren't the same.
I was so happy when I saw that the Vermont Country Store had these for Christmas! These are very much like the ones I remember as a child, with better wiring! (The lead is more heavy-duty than I remember the originals being, which is all to the good, in my opinion.)
I like that the bulbs came with the candoliers. I may replace them next year with bulbs that look more like candle flames, but these are perfectly nice.
I wish these were a little more bottom-heavy. The cats tend to knock them over pretty easily. I have them attached to the glass with suction cups and hooks, so that keeps the candoliers (mostly) upright and in place.
All in all, I'm so happy to have found these! They are charming, and add such a welcoming look to our house.
If it matters, I bought all three configurations: one five-tier, three three-tier, and four singles. They are very similar to one another, although the single has a different pattern on the base than the others. (The single has a simple, stripe-embossed base; the others have bells and decorative trim embossed on the bases.)
