Brighten Your Tree Year after Year with Victorian Tin Icicles

The Victorians decorated their trees with shiny tin icicles like these. Each is spiral-shaped to reflect the light in a lovely way, more like real icicles than ordinary tinsel. Once you see these on your tree, you'll never use store-bought again. Tops are crooked to fit over boughs without hooks or ties. 50 pieces in an airtight container, which keeps them bright year after year. 6" long.

  • Spiral-shaped to reflect light similar to real icicles
  • Tops are crooked to fit over boughs without hooks or ties
  • Tin icicles reminiscent of Victorian times

Shimmering spiral icicles add old-fashioned light to your Christmas tree.

Perfect sparkle I bought 2 containers of these several years ago and love the look. They're easy to hang and remove from the tree and add a bit of sparkle to the tree. If you have a 6 ft tree you'll need at least 2 boxes of them. September 30, 2014
Great Product - Great Value Your Victorian Tin Tinsel Icicles gave our Christmas tree that perfect touch of sparkle that it needed! Unlike the disposable type, these icicles stay where you put them; no more walking away from the Christmas tree covered in icicles. I especially like that they can be stored and re-used year after year. January 6, 2014
More beautiful than any tinsel. I was looking for pet safe tinsel to make my tree glisten like other tinsel. I found this Victorian tin tinsel at the Vermont Country Store and how perfect ! My tree looks more beautiful than if I used regular tinsel and the best part it will look that way every year now and safe for my pets. The best of both worlds. Anyone with pets , this is a must for their safety not to mention adding beauty to your tree. I love it! December 27, 2013
Bailey's tree My cat, Bailey, is always thrilled when we bring HER freshly cut Christmas tree into the house. She 'moves in' under it, right away. We've always enjoyed tinsel on the tree, but found that Bailey likes to eat it! Of course, we simply stopped putting tinsel on our Christmas tree. This year it's making a come-back in the form of the Victorian Tin Tinsel that we'll be hanging with silver metallic thread to let it spin and sparkle even more. December 1, 2013
Can not buy to many of these tinsels Since 1975, I have been decorating my Christmas tree with Steinbach ornaments and later added the Victorian Tin Tinsel to finish off my tree. It is not a 'dressed' tree without the tinsel. This tinsel!! I hope that Vermont Country store is able to restock, because over the years, I am missing some and need more before Christmas 2013. Please VCS order some more and I'll buy them. Thanks Grace January 17, 2013
So much prettier than you'd imagine... I bought some of these before, several years now, and decided to buy more again this year: I really wannt my tree to sparkle. I recommend, for getting the most enjoyment out of these, hanging them from another hook or circle of clear thread rather than hanging them directly on the branches: that way they twirl in the slightest breeze and all hang perpendicularly to the floor (a time-saver). The reflect tree lights and room lights to create a wonderful effect. I do think they're a little pricey, however you get a lot of them per cannister. December 9, 2012
Really nice but very pricy! I have purchased 2 containers of these Tin Tinsels they are really nice on the Christmas Tree. The only thing that I find against them is the price. Twenty dollars for one container is way too pricy. December 5, 2012
Sparkles on the Christmas tree. I remember having tin icicles on the tree during my childhood. They had been passed down in the family and eventually lost. I love the look the tin icicles give to the tree, reflecting the sunshine during the day and the tree lights at night. The order came so very quickly and was complete with no hassles. What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Victorian Tin Tinsel …

"Although tinsel is beautiful and certainly fun for the kids (even adults) to throw on the tree, it is messy and is dangerous for domestic pets. These Tin Tinsels are as beautiful on the tree are not at all dangerous, are affordable, & you can keep from year to year. The only problem is they can get lost on the tree when you are cleaning up but if you count them before putting them on & putting them back there isn't a problem. I bought them for my sister 2yrs ago and I'm getting another set this year because you can never have too much Tin Tinsel !!" - F Heyman, New Providence, NJ

"These are my favorite tree decoration. They reflect the light beautifully, from every angle, and are tapered like natural icicles." - Kelly Sofaly, Irwin, PA

"I bought two tins of these four or five years ago, and they add a distinctive old-fashioned finishing touch to the holiday tree. The twists in the tin beautifully reflect the Christmas lights. They are tin, so they're soft and bend easily, but with gentle treatment are easily restored. We found the factory crook at the top too small and used a large round pen to reshape and enlarge them. These icicles are a good investment. I highly recommend them." - Joyce, Lamoine, ME
