A precious treat I broke down and bought a box of each, the mint variety as well as the fruit flavored after salivating over them for ages. At $25 per box, it was a major deal. I had a few from the fruit flavored box before putting them in the freezer with an "out of sight, out of mind" resolve. So far, so good. Did I mention I also bought a box of the "Merriment" redos? That is in the freezer, too. I think. I hope I remember where I stashed the unopened box of the Frenchies and I hope I remember before someone else finds it first. P.S. The freezer does NOT diminish the quality or taste one iota! June 15, 2013
Lovely My group gave an old-fashioned tea, and I used small gift bags to make packages of the mints, and sealed each with a tea sticker. They made people stop talking so they could enjoy them as they melted in their mouths. May 8, 2013
Elegant Mints For many years my book club has enjoyed these mints at our May afternoon tea, the only meeting at which we serve refreshments. May 8, 2013
Old Memories I have loved French Cream candies for years. For some reason they are very hard to find today. The Vermont Country store is the only place I have found that still has the French Creams available .so thanks April 9, 2013
as good as ever When too much chocolate is too much these are more than a welcome relief. Delicious and hits the spot April 5, 2013
Yes, they are as good as they look! I was shopping for something special to share with family at Easter. These seemed a little pricey, but they looked so beautiful that I kept going back to them and finally decided to take a chance. Boy, am I glad I did! I got the fruit-flavored ones, and they are absolutely scrumptious--full of mild fruit flavors, melt in your mouth, and with that tiny sugar-coated crunch! We all enjoyed them, and I will certainly buy them again for special occasions. I'd like to try the mint ones, too. And yes, they are also as beautiful to look at as they are in the pictures! They are no more expensive than good chocolates, and if you're looking for tastes and texture more delicate than chocolate, these are perfect. April 4, 2013
Creamy and delightful! Your catalog always features interesting food items - and iIve tried several. These French creams are even tastier than those from "the old days". So pretty to look at, too. Their fruit flavor is robust and a welcome tang on the tongue. March 29, 2013
Favorite candy from my youth refound When I was younger I bought French Confections all the time from Harvey's Five and Dime. I loved these candies. Then I left for college and as happens over time, Harvey's closed. I have looked for these candies for years without being able to find them. I was looking through the VCS catalog at a friends house when I saw them. They are everything I remember. February 13, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our French Creams (14 oz. Box) …

"When I was growing, my grandmother always bought these at Christmastime when she visited, and they were a family favorite. Up 'til about 10 years ago, one of the major candy makers still produced these. After so long, I finally found them here, and was I glad! I get so tired of the same old candies every holiday, and this is a wonderful change. Crisp and crunchy on outside and creamy inside. Delicious!!!" - Teri, Lake Butler, FL

"Christmas time my father would buy these candies and us 11 children would help him wrap each one in a sort of tissue paper fancy cut square. Some were plain and some had fringes on them, etc. Then we would hang them on the Christmas tree." - Martha , Staten Island, NY

"These are just like I remember from when I was a kid. I surprised my wife in 2010 and she had a great smile on her face. I came back again in 2011 to get them again, and I hope to make this a Christmas tradition for years to come. You should get the catalog, it will take you down memory lane or help you to make new memories." - John Hoffman, Pittsburgh, PA

"I searched for these candies for years after department store candy counters disappeared. In candy-only colors with sparkling crystals outside and rich, creamy flavor inside: Yum! Thanks for finding them! " - Mel W, Cincinnati, OH
