Balsam scent...not really The concept is good; the log cabin is fine; the smoke comes out perfectly....but the scent is definitely not what I expected. There was no Balsam Fir scent. It has a heavy odor and it spread quickly throughout our downstairs. To enjoy watching the smoke rise from the chimney I put it outside on a table. I had better results from using an old-fashioned lamp ring with Christmas Tree Fragrance oil. January 7, 2013
