Good for ALL ages,!!!! I ordered this as a cute type of gift for a young girl that was coming for a visit ( stay ,? ) when she started the first potholder, the adults had to help her,? so they thought,? after the first one, she made one all by herself, I had ordered the extra loops, just for good measure,!!! and the adults got into making their own, all in all it was educational,? and a fun thing for ALL ages, evidently, ??? Fred, ( thanks for doing what you do,!!! ) February 24, 2015
Three Generations of fun! I purchased this item for my granddaughter and was delighted that I could find the loom in medal. Most of them I have seen advertised are plastic. I had one as a child, got them for my daughters and now my granddaughter. One of those items that never get old! January 8, 2015
I enjoyed this purchase MY looms and loops ended up being a great project for my grandkids (20 of them). We will use these metal looms for years. thanks July 2, 2014
Wonderful afternoon All the stores are carrying the plastic looms this year, but I got to spend an afternoon with our six year old grand-daughter making a potholder, on a loom just like I once had. What a great memory, and now I even have a colorful souvenir. December 30, 2013
Reliving memories I purchased this metal loom and loops when visiting The Vermont Country Store about a year ago. I absolutely love the quality of both. The loops occasionally have a stray thread, however that does not make the potholder any less sturdy or beautiful. It can just be clipped off. The cotton loops make wonderful thick potholders and the colors are vibrant. I pull this project out every so often, I have refilled my stock of loops, and love reliving the memory of making these old fashioned potholders. I use them everyday! August 14, 2013
hard to find metal loom i'd been looking for a metal loom for my little granddaughter. i know she would love making potholders just like i did years ago. however, the only looms i've been able to find are made of plastic and they break almost immediately. we have not tried this one yet, but it looks plenty sturdy and like it is made well. i really thought i was not going to find a metal one, so i was very happy to have found this one. vermont country store has many quality products and i'm glad to have come across their site. Childhood Memories This was a gift for the little girl who recieved the Uncle Wiggly game and book for Christmas. Her Mom and I both remember making potholders for our grandparents and parents! So the tradition will live on thanks to you and your wonderful store and catalog!!! I know that I will be ordering again in the near future. You still have the nightgowns I wore as a child and the Calico Aprons my grandmother wore!!!!! December 31, 2012
potholder loom/loops I ordered the potholder loom and loops for my granddaugher for Christmas. I wish the potholder loom had higher posts to keep the loops on easier. I was very disappointed with the quality of the loops. Before I even got the loops out of the package they were raveling. I don't think they are going to hold up at all. December 28, 2012

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Traditional Potholder Loom and Loops …

"This toy is fabulous! When I was a little girl, my dad passed away when I was five years old. My mother, Ruby, was the Head Instructor of Springfield Beauty Academy, and I had to "hang out" at the salon after school and on Saturday. I would weave potholders and sell them to the ladies under the dryer or getting their manicures, for 25 cents each. I even wove custom colors to match their kitchen decor. One Saturday I made $17.00! The supplies were much cheaper then -- bags of loops were 25 cents each and huge, so I made quite a profit! That was 45 years ago, and I've been in retail ever since! I'm getting these for my granddaughters for Christmas so they can learn, too, and I can go back to my childhood memories! I stumbled across your site but will pass it on! Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share "a blast from my past" with my grandchildren! I look forward to your catalogs. Terrigail Moore-Hastings" - Terrigail Hastings, Springfield, MO

"Thanks for finding these. Using them to make potholders with my grandmother while my mother was in the hospital is a warm, cherished memory. When Mom came home, I gave her three new potholders as a gift, and she gave me one, too -- a new baby sister!" - Linda Maloy, Birmingham, AL

"I, too, made these as a child. I made a special one for my grandmother - with the prettiest loops in the bag. She thought it too pretty to use - I still have this potholder as a memory of her! Vermont Country Store - thank you from all of us who cherish the memories your store and catalog invoke!" - Delores Belvin, Elizabeth City, NC
