Oldtime Favorite! When I was a kid growing up in southern California these were the only kind of lights we had on our tree. I used to sit there as a small child watching them by the hour! I was so delighted to see them for sale once again in The Vermont Country Store catalog since I haven't seen them for years in any of our local stores here in Portland, Oregon. We have a new great-granddaughter who is now almost ten months old and I can hardly wait to see her eyes when she comes over to see our decorations. I know she will be as fascinated by the bubble lights as I was as a little child! :-) November 26, 2014
Olden days Reminds me of past Christmases. January 31, 2014
Bubble Light Love Seeing my new Bubble Lights I immediately smelled pine trees and fond memories of those bubble lights that had also been on our Christmas trees with Mom and Dad since the 1950"s. It made me sigh and brought a smile to my face with the memory of "Santa's soon coming!" I want my children and grandchildren to feel the same way when they see these Bubble Lights and fondly remember Nanna and Pop Pop. January 21, 2014
Bubble Lights -- LOVE them! I remember the bubble lights that were on my grandparents and parents trees at Christmas. Had a set from my grandfather when I was first married and the bulbs went out one by one. So, when I saw them in the catalog I HAD to get them so my children and grandchildren can have memories as well! January 17, 2014
Back to the 50s, amazing friends I grew up with bubble lights on my Christmas trees in North Dakota in the 50's and 60's. About 40 years ago I found and purchased a few strands of bubble lights. In recent years many of those lights have burned out or the bubble does function anymore. To find you had them was so rewarding. We have so many people visit us that have never seen bubble lights in operation before. You were a great find. I want to awe many people for many Christmas' to come. Thanks for your help in being able to do so. January 13, 2014
bring back Christmas from childhood! I sent these bubble lights, aling with the big coloured bulbs and real tinsel (along with shipping a live tree) to my brother who lives in the Palm Springs desert - He was thrilled! We had these as kids growing up in New England and he was surprised and pleased! I tell everyone about the VCS and used to visit on ski trips to Vermont. Great place, great online service. Thank you, Ellen from Cape Cod January 10, 2014
Takes us back "when"~~~ My son and I were recently discussing by 'phone these bubble lights that were always on his grandmother's and grandfather's Christmas trees when he was little and was so fascinated by them. So I thought 'what a perfect Christmas gift', and ordered a string of them for his Christmas. He was so surprised and pleased ... and placed them at the top of their Christmas tree. They were a "conversation piece" at their Open House. Thanks for the 'nostalgia'. December 25, 2013
reliving my childhood As a young Iowa farm boy, the bubble lights my mother put on the tree made it so joyous and bright. We didn't have much in the way of money or "things", but we had bubble lights on our Christmas tree. When I found them in your catalog I was delighted and ordered 1 set to try them. They were just what I remembered and I ordered 2 more sets. Our little tree is covered in bubble lights to the thrill of me, a 72 year old who feels like a child again when I sit and watch them bubble away. Thank you Vermont Country Store@ December 21, 2013
