Sore Throat Warning: If sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied by fever, nausea, swelling, rash, headache, vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.

Care

For temporary relief of minor discomfort and protection of irritated areas in sore mouth and sore throat. Directions: Adults and children 3 years and over: dissolve 1 or 2 drops slowly in mouth. Repeat as needed. Best if not chewed. For children under 3, ask a doctor.

A mild choice to soothe the throat I bought these throat drops to please both great-grandma and my children who tend to "cry wolf" at bedtime. The percentage of true medicine in them is quite small. Everyone likes them and uses them. The cherry and honey are both mild and don't stick to dentures when finally chewed. I sent some to my mother as well and she said that the honey drops reminded her of eating honeycomb at her grandparents' home when she was a kid. Best lozenge for sore throats & cough! I used these throat drops when I was a kid, then couldn't find them for years until I saw Vermont Country Store's catalog. I love both flavors, and they are soft and leave a nice coating on your throat. In my opinion you won't find a better cough drop! February 6, 2013

Pine Brothers: Nothing better to sooth the throat When Pine Brothers throat lozenges disappeared from the shelves of stores, then web sites, I was lost: a drink of water and one of these coats and sooths a soar throat like nothing else. Hummmmmm.... I was so looking forward to getting these. I remember my grandmother always had them on hand in their old red box. When I was teaching, I used to keep them on hand--I loved them and so did the kids. However, when I received this order, opened the package and popped one in my mouth, I was disappointed to find they did not taste like the ones I remember. Perhaps it is my old[er] mouth. It didn't have the rich honey flavor that I remembered. It was rather blah, actually. I tried another but it, too, just didn't satisfy. As I said, perhaps it is my taster or my mind, I don't know which, but I'm really disappointed. December 14, 2012
Wonderful! I loved these as a child and never thought I'd ever find a place to purchase them. So glad you sell them. I got a REALLY bad cold last year when I was pregnant. I could take very few medications to ease my symptoms. I had ordered these a few months prior to finding out I was pregnant. These were sooo soothing on my raw throat. Memorable comfort, symbol of love Growing up, we had many colds and sore throats. My mother, a nurse, always had a supply of Pine Brothers Cherry Cough Drops on the kitchen counter. We were to take one and suck it to keep the throat moist and alleviate scratchy throats. When my uncle had throat cancer, it was the only cough drop that would soothe his pain. All of the grandchildren also associated Pine Brothers with my mother nurturing us, a symbol of love. When my son Shawn was killed by a hit and run driver, my three and a half year old daughter, Jennifer, was with me when I found him. When we went to my mother's house, my mother gave my daughter a cherry cough drop to comfort her and help her deal with the shock. It was most effective in the funeral parlor, when we tried to say "Goodbye" to my son and Jennifer started yelling that she wanted Shawn to wake up. All our hearts were wrenched terribly. Always carrying a cough drop, my mother gave her one to calm her. It did. She is now 31, and still remembers the scene and my mother giving her a cough drop and it still comforts us to this day.
