Not What They Used To Be I bought these gloves for my wife last Christmas after several years of excellent service from the previous pairs. These are not the same gloves and are not even the same as pictured. The pictured ones have the vertical stitches on the back of the glove. The new ones do not. The new ones are made of a flimsy, knit material that wore holes within weeks of receipt. The new ones shrink to a size that makes them difficult to put on. Along with the material wearing, the seams also split within weeks. The sizes offered are Small-Medium (which means extra small) and Medium-Large which as it turns out also means extra small. Please being back the old style. The new ones are not worth buying even at half the current price. June 2, 2013
Quality is not the same My mother ordered these gloves several years ago. She needed replacements,so I ordered more. We were disappointed with these gloves;they were noticeably thinner and not of the same quality as the ones in previous years. Unfortunately I had to send them back. March 20, 2013
fit well, practical. My mother is having severe skin problems on her hands and these gloves are helpful to cover her hands after using heavy cream. February 6, 2013
Bring Back Your Former Sleep Gloves After reading recent reviews about flimsiness, holes & seams tearing in the sleeping gloves you now offer, I know these are NOT the former sleep gloves I ordered from Vermont Country Store a few years ago. Those gloves you offered when I purchased them were sturdy, roomy, 100% cotton knit, and most importantly, held up over time. The only problem was losing one or two now and then. It seemed easier to pick my size then. It seemed there were more size choices & staff indicated women's equivalent to men's. My hands get too hot with hand cream in tight sleeping gloves. Also, the tighter gloves split where the thumb seam is near the forefinger. Your old sleeping gloves never did split. Although I need more sleeping gloves, after reading the above reviews I am hesitant to order the ones you now offer. Hopefully Vermont Country Store will bring back the old ones, or at least a new line of sleeping gloves that are sturdy, roomy & comfy, 100% cotton knit, and can be put in the dryer at low setting. (Laying gloves flat to dry are inconvenient, and look more cluttered). February 3, 2013
Young hands I am 67 but my hands don't look it. I have used these gloves since I was young. Most people say my hands look mid-50's. A dab of lotion ,on my hands and cuticles, put on my gloves and my hands are warm and, next morning soft. It's wonderful to be mature with young hands. There is all kinds of things a lady can do to her face but her hands are just out there. These gloves and lotion are a real action we can take to fight father time. I am a huge fan and refere all my friends. January 22, 2013
Thinner than earlier purchase I have previously purchased white gloves for use with hand creams. This are noticeably thinner, and I am not confident they will hold up in washing. December 23, 2012
This hard to find product ! The Vermont Store is the only place that I seem to be able to find these gloves. I have had them before and they keep your hands soft and moist. December 21, 2012
Poor Quality I was quite disappointed when I received these gloves. For $20 I didn't expect that they would be top quality but these are not at all what I would expect from Vermont Country Store! The seams were splitting before I even used them and there are small holes in the fabric. They are about the quality that I could buy in my local dollar store. Sorry to have to write a negative review of Vermont Country Store but you should discontinue selling this particular line of gloves. December 1, 2012
