Rated 5 out of 5 by Family Band now makes Holidays Resound with Joy! When I was in third grade, every student received Flutophone, and were encouraged to learn how to make music. In those days, schools believed that ALL children had SOME musical talent - and just needed to discover that talent. We were thrilled when we first saw the Flutophone available at VCS - and ordered enough for children and grandchildren. We also picked up an accordion. Now, with the accordion and Flutophones, we can enjoy a rousing family band whenever we all get together for holidays. Children and grandchildren were amazed to learn that, at one time, schools believed that ALL children had SOME sort of musical talent! Even more amazing - we discovered a number of Internet pages which teach children HOW to use the Flutophone, complete with music available for some of the simple tunes which we learned way back in third grade! It is really great to know that VCS has made these remarkable instruments from yesteryear available to VCS customers! January 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Music Lessons While in grammar school, my sister took lessons on a Flutophone. She would sit in our room and practice the scales by playing each note three times. My aunt who lived next door used to come to the window that faced our room and toot along with her. I gave my sister the Flutophone for Christmas. She looked at it with great surprise. She looked at me and we both said together "Aunt Rosie" remembering those happy days. Thanks for the walk down memory lane January 13, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by brings back old memories I remember having to take this in school many many years ago. I didn't think they made them as the ones now are just simple black things so purchased one for me and one for one of my grandkids. My dog doesn't like it, as he sure sings with it. Fond memories for sure....and for the future too when she opens it up and plays it for the first time..... December 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Childhood Memories Growing up my sister had a Flutophone that almost drove us crazy until she learned to play songs. We had lots of laughs and fun with this little gem. When I found it at the Vermont Country Store I just had to get it for my sister who is now 71 years young. She can still play the Christmas songs she learned as a child. This is a fun gift for anyone learning to play simple tunes. Thank you Vermont for bringing back great childhood memories. December 3, 2013
