Women's Silk Scoop Neck Top
Found it for a friend
A friend who skis lent me her old, thin, warm, silk undershirt when I was preparing to fly to Norway in Dec. It kept me comfy warm on the flights and walking around Oslo. When I returned home, I searched online to find one to give her as a gift because hers was so old and she had not been able to find a replacement. It had to be very thin, fitted, warm, made of silk. I found it at Vermont Country Store and ordered immediately. It is exactly what I was looking for! She decided to keep the old one and insisted I keep the new one. Now I'm going to order one for my sister and cousin who live in the cold north. Thank you for the top quality and ideal fitting of this lovely silk undershirt. It fits so comfortably under layers without any bulk.

This shirt is shining white and sheer and beautiful/ it looks like part of some gossamer Edwardian ensemble.
It feels like heaven.
Everything about it is perfect, especially the neck edging which is elegantly "self" bound in a way that looks like careful needle work.
The shirt is so light and thin you forget it is on except that worn under a light cotton turtleneck you get the effect of wearing a thin cashmere sweater. The perfect amount of light cozy warmth, so you never get the slight chill of the cotton.
And if you get so warm you take off the cotton this shirt is perfect along if you have on a white substantial bra underneath.
I am 5'3" and weigh about 130 and my bra size is 34F and the extra-large fits perfectly. It comes down long too, to cover the lower back which is so essential.

Silk Scoop Neck Top
I really liked the feel of this product when I initially opened it. After trying it on, I was disappointed that it is so short, making it difficult to stay tucked in. It is also very sheer and would have to be worn as an undergarment only.
Finally, I do not like that it snags so easily. I felt it "catching" on my fingers. I will be returning this item.
I think this would be great to wear under dress clothes rather than everyday clothing.
