Rated 5 out of 5 by 1950's Holiday Gumdrop Tree My 6 year old granddaughter wanted to have a 'candy' themed birthday party and I remembered my grandmother had a gumdrop tree that we only used during Christmas holidays. I searched for one on the internet and your website was the only place I found it. We are using it for the centerpiece of our candy party, and then will leave it out for the holidays. Love it ~ October 18, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not suitable for a Christmas gift! I sent this to my grandson before Christmas, knowing children need to keep busy before Christmas day. My daughter reported back that he certainly liked receiving the candy and the tree, but just so I knew, it was not a good pre-Christmas gift. The gumdrops were orange, black, and yellow! What the heck is that all about?? Not a Christmas Tree for sure. She thought it would be good as a Halloween gift. January 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Christmas Tradition - The Gumdrop Tree This adorable little gumdrop tree was a childhood favorite at Christmas. Every Christmas my mother would bring out the tree after she had purchased gumdrops. It was my responsibility to put the gumdrops on the tree, with the freedom to arrange them in any categorical order I chose. It was always displayed on a side table in our dining room, and it always gave me such pleasure to walk into that room and see that colorful gumdrop tree there. Of course No One was allowed to remove a gumdrop until the 26th of December. It was a family tradition. Now I have that wonderful memory laden gumdrop tree. This year I decided it was time to pass the tradition on to my sons. I was thrilled to see that gumdrop tree in the Vermont Country store catalog! I purchased them for my sons and wrote them each about the tradition of the gumdrop tree from my childhood. Now they will have that tradition in their homes and be able to pass it on to their children. Next year I'm already planning to purchase more for my brother's children so they can have a "drop" of one of our family's Christmas traditions. Please keep that product in your catalog. And, thank you for the "free" bag of colorful gumdrops you sent along with each tree. That was a pleasant surprise. I love shopping in the Vermont Country Store. It is always a trip down memory lane to shop with you. Thank you for all the work that you do in running the Vermont Country Store and allowing so many of us pass on real live family memories and traditions. P.S. Is it possible to get any of the Barclay skating and skiing figures back in your catalog? January 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by three generations My mom had this tree when we were growing up and she gave it to me. I used it for Christmas with my children growing up. My four grand children now 17 to 26 still look for it at my house for Christmas. All four have asked to have it someday. Finding it on your website, I've ordered 4, (one for each grandchild) for Christmas this year. I'm delighted to find them. November 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Memories From My Childhood When I was a child, my grandmother had a Gumdrop Christmas Tree as a centerpiece for the Dining Room Table. This reminds me so much of her and even today how I miss her and she has been gone for over 50 years. November 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally found one! My Mom, Grandma and I each had a gumdrop tree when I was growing up. Eventually, they got lost or broken. I'm so happy to find these trees again and will make sure my children have one, too. Thanks for selling our family's fun Christmas tradition. November 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Have already bought two, and may buy more! We have used our gumdrop tree for a couple of years now and recently purchased one as a gift for my parents. The tree is perfect for displaying colorful gumdrops, and it can be used any time - not just for Christmas! For my grandmother's birthday, we decorated it like an autumn tree - with red, orange, yellow and green gumdrops. The kids loved it, and the grownups couldn't resist either! October 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A gift to children I sent this as a thought of a eat um tree, we use to make, ( a long time ago,! ), and in its small way it more than did the job for remembering, the children, called and were so excited putting it together, that I did not know what they said,? but it was a real winner, from you,! and me, for the whole bunch, Thanks, !!! What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Gumdrop Christmas Tree …

"I haven't seen one of these gumdrop trees since I was a child in the 50's. My brothers and I loved to poke the gumdrops onto the branches. Of course, we enjoyed eating them even more. I'm going to order one of these for my grandson and maybe even one for myself." - Susan Evans, Springville, UT

"My family, when I was growing up, would go to Buckroe Beach Amusement Park where we would spend our summer nights for one week having fun and riding the rides. My most special memories were paying $.10 and pulling a string and winning a prize! I pulled the string one night and won the Gumdrop Tree. Many (many) years have past and my mother has used that little gumdrop tree every year somewhere in the kitchen for us to pluck the gumdrops off when we visit over the holidays. So, I would like to get one for my family and give one away to a friend." - Cathy Reiner, Richmond, VA

"Reminds me of when I was a little girl picking gumdrops off of the same one like this one. I did this for my children. Now need one for my grands." - jamie, charlotte, NC

"We are ordering this for my dad, as he remembers his mom having one @Christmas time years ago and hasn't been able to find one...this will be a nice suprise for him." - lisa ketcham, plymouth, IN

"Like so many of your products, the gumdrop tree brings back sweet memories of Christmas growing up in the 50s and 60s. I used to love to add gumdrops as they disappeared. The tree was almost bare by Christmas day. Between this item and the barley pops I can revisit my childhood with my daughters over the holidays." - Maureen, Mooresto, NJ
