Fisher-Price Record Player
I found it!
My son had this same player Minus the batteries when he was a little boy. He is 42 now and has his own family so I bought this for my grand children. I still have the original but it needs repairs.
Thank you for a great store/cataloge and you guys are the best!

great preschool toy
Our children, now adults, had this toy as children and loved it. I bought it for our 2 1/2 year old grandson, who loves to listen and see Grandma's real records. He figured out how to work it, with some help, very quickly, and carries it around where ever he goes! He plays the songs , and is beginning to sing and dance to them...something he does not do to his parents CDs. I was very glad to be able to purchase this nearly indestructible record player

Memories of childhood.
I gave this record player to my grown son for Christmas. He had one like this when he was a child and now has his own one year old son. He was very surprised and pleased. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because later he told me it was not exactly the same. This one uses batteries and the music does not actually come from the record, like the old wind up model did. But his son won't know the difference and I think everyone was pleased with the present.

Some things never get old!
My grandchild loves music. Most of the musical toys available are either too sophisticated or not strong enough to hold up to a 2 yrd old. I found the FP Record Player through your catalog and am happy to say that she is merrily playing her own records and singing along - just like her mother did many years ago.

30 years later
I bought this for my grandson Mason becuase it was my sons favorite toy. Mark my son would put the disc that played Edelweiss on for me as I got ready for work because he knew it was my favorite. My son died a little while ago so that is why I bought this for my grandson-so he could enjoy his uncles simple toys and so I could go down memory lane with Mason. Unfortunately even though the description states it has this song/disc it does not. I was disapoined but Mason wouldn't know what is missing. Please change this description for others. Here is what is stated about this toy:
"Give your little tykes the gift of music this Christmas by placing this Fisher-Price® record player under the tree. A reproduction of the 1971 original, it plays the included recordsâjust like a real record playerâby simply winding it up (requires 3 AA batteries, not included). Features a carrying handle for easy portability and five plastic records containing two songs each. Songs include "Humpty Dumpty," "Jack & Jill," "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," "Au Clair de La Lune," "London Bridges," "Oh Where Has My Dog Gone," "Camptown Races," "Children's Marching Song," "Hickory Dickory Doc," and "Edelweiss." 9¼"x 8½"x 3¾". Ages 18 months and up."

This is such a wonderful toy! I had this when i was a kid. I loved the music and the records. Now I have it for my kids - ages 7 and 1. Not that they know what a "record player" is, but when I tell them (well my 7 year old, anyway), that I used to listen to these same songs on this toy when I was their age, they get so excited! Our kids may never know what a record player, cassette tape, or VCR is, but these toys will be around forever and they can have fun imagining what things were like "in the old days."
