Rib Cord Cotton Bedspread
I searched the internet to find an all cotton bedspread that wasn't too heavy or too light. I purchased this bedspread and am extremely pleased. I have a queen size bed but I'm one of those finicky people who don't like bed covers to touch the floor, so I purchased the full size one and it's perfect. It reaches the top of the bed skirt on the sides with plenty coverage at the head and foot of the bed, just the way I like it. I purchased the sage color and it is exactly as it looks online. As a matter of fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one! Thank you Vermont Country Store!

The bedspread is just what I was looling for. Also the size is ample to really go down both sides of the bed .

This is my third
The first rib cord spread I had actually belonged to the aunt with whom I was living while attending college. When I later wanted to buy one of my own, I couldn't find one, no matter where I looked. Now, years later, I found that you carry them. I promptly ordered one, which was just what I wanted until I got a bed that was higher, so I had to order one the next size larger to have it reach the floor. (I'm saving the smaller one in case I get a lower bed again.) These spreads certainly fit your motto of "Purveyors of the practical and hard to find"

Color off and size has changed
This is my second one of these. The most recent order was disappointing. The color was more of a teal than a sage. The spread is actually smaller than the first one I ordered. I have a California King bed and the first one has ample drape over the sides and bottom, but this is not the case with the new spread. That being said, this is a perfect weight for hot summer nights and a durable cotton weave.

Strong, light, handsome at a great price
After DECADES of searching --- Vermont Country Store filled the bill for every reason. Now --- after one year of HARD use by two Basset Hounds and their Paw Paw --- the bedspread remains handsome as ever, colors remain bold, and all fabric remains undamaged. Whether or not due to improper high tech home washing and drying --- the bedspread has lost inches in width --- though NOT in length.
