Nothing speaks of the holidays like a platter of freshly baked cookies and there are none more festive than those made with these 3-D plastic cookie cutters from Aunt Chick. Introduced in 1948 by the renowned cook and columnist Nettie McBriney (a.k.a. Aunt Chick)—and out of production for decades until recently—each boasts an original deep embossed design, imprinting the cookies with beautifully detailed raised features, and has a special pebbled interior to prevent the dough from sticking. Cutters range from 3½" to 5" in length.

  • Cutters leave behind deeply embossed designs with raised details
  • Pebble interior keeps dough from sticking
  • Set includes a Santa face, stocking, star, and Christmas tree, instructions, and two easy-to-follow recipes.

These 3-D cutters make cookies that are as much fun to look at as they are to eat.

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Aunt Chick's Cookie Cutters…

“My mom has the originals of these and I grew up making all of our Christmas cookies with them. But does anyone know of a gingerbread man that is from the same style? Our's is just about done and we need a new one.” — Kirsten, Hardin
“I couldn't believe it when I saw these cookie cutters. Every year before Christmas my mother made dozens of these cookies, mixed up different colors of icings and glazes, and set out dishes filled with colored sugars, sprinkles, and silver and gold decorative balls. Then, my 5 siblings and I all sat for an afternoon of decorating. She wrapped the finished cookies in plastic wrap, hung them on the Christmas tree, and we could pick a cookie from the tree when we were having a snack or dessert. Our parents are no longer with us but over the years, at Thanksgiving, we have brought batches of these cookies for us and our children to decorate. The original set of cutters are fragile and used with great care. Won't my siblings be surprised to receive a set for Christmas this year!” — Virginia McAuley, Ithaca, NY
“I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your Aunt Chick's cookie cutters! My mother had a set, now in my sister's possession, probably purchased in the early 1950's. Mom was very militant about decorating the Santas exactly as indicated on the box and in the enclosed directions. We were allowed some creative latitude on the trees, stars and stockings. After the cookies were done, they were wrapped in plastic wrap and tied at the top with ribbon. Mom gave a lot of them away, and the rest were hung on the Christmas tree. After Christmas Day, my sister and I were allowed to eat one a day until the tree came down.” — Barbara Sharp, Friday Harbor, WA
“I bought Aunt Chick's Cookie Cutters in 1948 or '49. I made them every year for my children, and when I had grandchildren again I made them. Now I am making them for my great-grandchildren. Everybody loves the Santa faces - they say they are a work of art when I finish decorating them. I have much joy making them for the family now at 86. I will be making them again this year. Thank you for the joy they have given our family. Oh, I bought them for one dollar back then.” — Betty Crippen, Carol Stream, IL
“Our parents used to make & sell cookies back in the 50's to earn money to buy us Christmas presents. There were 10 of us and we helped when we were old enough. It was fun, & on the top of the pound of cookies there was always a Santa face, carefully decorated with icing, red colored sugar, coconut for the beard. My sister got your catalogue in the mail and ordered the set of 4 Aunt Chick's cutters and she & my other sister surprised the 7 of us remaining children with cookies for Christmas. It was such a great surprise, & what a wonderful feeling to go back in time to honor our parents.” — Bonnie Mauger, Gilbertsville, PA
“My mother made cookies every Christmas using these cutters. She decorated each of them. The eyes were raisins. Santa had a frosting and coconut beard and she also put frosting on the fur of the hat and the ball. She painted the cheeks with red food coloring. She also used colored sugar. Each of the cutters were hand painted. She would sell them for fifty cents to a dollar a piece. They were so beautiful as she laid them out on the kitchen table. Wonderful memories.” — Cathy Robinson, Fairfax, VA
“These are the cookie cutters my mom brought out every Christmas for my sisters and me. She baked, we decorated. They are the best, most detailed, and I am ordering them to use with my granddaughter. My sisters and I were decorating these cookies from as far back as 1950 or so.” — Connie Rich, Long Beach, CA
“My Mom had all of these and more, including the gingerbread man. Every Christmas she made Aunt Chick's 3-D cookie dough. Then the assembly line started! My Mom, my little sister and I baked and decorated hundreds of these cookies. Before baking, Santa got dried currants for his eyes. Then we swiped his cheeks, hat, and lips with egg white and sprinkled on red sugar crystals. His hat band and puff and his beard got a swipe of white decorator's icing and a pinch of sweetened white coconut. He was a thing of beauty! The rest of the cookies all had similarly elaborate decorations. My Mom made up plates and plates of every kind of fancy home-made Christmas cookie, all given away to friends, neighbors--even to the postman! What great memories, to see these cookie cutters again. Thank you so much.” — Cristina, Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, AL
“My father used to make the Santa face cookies and hang them on a special cookie tree, and any time a child would come over they got to pick their cookie from the tree. I am so happy I was able to find these cutters, as the original broke after my father passed. We would like to restart the tradition.” — Diane, Pittsburgh, PA
“Imagine my delight to open your catalog and find these cookie cutters. I have an original set which I still use and always wondered if I would be able to find them to purchase for my girls. I have very fond memories of cutting the raisins for Santa's eyes, brushing thinned egg white and red food coloring for the nose and cheeks, and frosting and coconut for the beard on that cutter. Oh, and yes, that is the only sugar cookie recipe our family has ever used! Thanks for the memories” — Diane Manning, DeRidder, LA
“My mom and I used these cookie cutters years ago and were always favorites. The kids next door and I always thought that Santa tasted the best. They make beautiful cookies” — diane c brayton, dayton, OH
“I have these, they were my mom's. I'm getting them for my grown grandchildren. donna” — donna unahalekhaka, mountain city, TN
“My dear neighbor Betty would make special Santa cookies each Christmas and decorate them with coconut for the beard and red hots on the hat. I remember these fondly and am glad the cutters are still available.” — Fenya, Richland, WA
“I have a set of these that were my mother's from 1948. I have such wonderful memories of using these each Christmas when I was a child. The Santa is my favorite because we decorated his face with chocolate chips for eyes, a cherry for his nose and coconut for his beard and eye brows. I still use them and have lots of fun.” — Liz Slaybaugh, Columbus, OH
“My mom had a set of these cookie cutters when I was little and made them every Christmas. She recently passed away and my sisters threw the cookie cutters away before I could have them. This is like finding a part of her for the Christmas season. Thank you so much.” — Mary Beck, Hayward, CA
“When our parents died, I got to keep the four cookie cutters. We had used them every Christmas forEVER, and we're all in our 60's now. I'm sure Mom bought them when they first came out in 1948. I still have the box and the direction sheet, both well used. Now I'm buying three sets to give to my three siblings for Christmas. Won't they love this!” — MaryAlice Ridgway, Pendleton, OR
“My mother had these cookie cutters, given to her by her grandmother. My sister has them now. I am so glad I can order a set for myself. I remember making the best Santa cookies and putting coconut on for the beard with red cheeks and blue eyes. They always came out great and everyone wanted the Santas. The stocking was also good as it had enough detail you could decorate the toys in the stocking. Thank you for bringing them back. It's a nice tradition to pass on. Tammy Bonenfant” — Tammy Bonenfant, Carver, MA
“Thank you for bringing back these cutters. I have been making these cookies especially for Santa since I was a young girl. We made them every Christmas, and now I make them with my grandchildren. My cookie cutters needed to be replaced.” — Eleanor Royal, Salinas, CA
