What happens if you keep heating maple sap past the syrup stage? The sweetness just intensifies as it concentrates. At the crystalline stage, it is whipped then poured into a mold to become maple candy. These lovely little leaves are made from 100% pure Vermont maple syrup.

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Maple Leaf Candy…

“This is the most delicious candy I have ever put in my mouth! It melts in your mouth! We eat it very sparingly around Christmas time so that it will last awhile. Also the flavor is so satisfying you can only eat one or two pieces at a time. I first had it when I went to Vermont with my parents when I was 18. (I am 68 now!) We toured the factory where it was made and bought a small package. I have always wanted more and couldn't find it until I saw it in the Vermont Country Store Catalog last Fall. I can't wait to receive it this year.” — Anne Robison, Huntsville, AL
“Paul B. repeated third grade, and I guess he had a crush on me, because he would bring me a maple sugar leaf candy every day after lunch recess. We were allowed to go to the corner store and buy penny candy (cost: $.01!!!!!), and he shared his with me.” — Barbara VanAusdall, Mascoutah, IL
“One bite of your maple leaf candy and I remember... Our town park in upstate N.Y. had hundreds of sugar maples. In the early spring the trees were tapped, and their sap was collected in buckets. Before dawn on the following Saturday, fires were built in the dozens of stone fireplaces throughout the park. The sap was boiled and stirred. Most of it became syrup. Some was further simmered until it was thicker. Wooden spoonfuls and even stick-fulls were drizzled in intricate patterns onto the snow. It looked like syrup, but it had become maple lace hard candy. Finally, late in the day, the last kettles produced maple sugar. It had the most subtle flavor. The sugar crystals melted almost before they touched your tongue. It was a glorious day for children. We waited eagerly for it every year.” — Caroline, Union City, CA
“I grew up in northern Iowa, but my Mother's family was all Ohio-born. In the fall every year, my grandfather would mail a crate of several gallons of Maple Sryup to us for waffles, pancakes, etc. On Sunday nights, for a special treat, Mother would boil a kettle of the syrup to a certain stage. Unfortunately I never knew that temperature. Next she would fill a cereal bowl of the syrup for each of us. We would then stir the syrup with a teaspoon until it became solid. We could eat as much of our portion as we wished and then, with a toothpick, we scratched out initials across what was left. When we came home from school on Monday, that special sugared Maple Sugar treat awaited us. Your Maple Leaf candy reminds me of those precious memories. Thank you. Mary Jane” — Mary Jane Cox Campbell, Edina, MN
