Holiday meals at our house always meant a roast garnished with fancy spiced apple rings. Sometimes they were served as a side dish, too. They disappeared some time after the 1950s but we found a small preserves company in business since 1891 that's making them again.
Packed in the red syrup we all remember, our apple rings are just like the ones served at holiday meals in the 1950s.

“I remember looking forward to these Spiced Apple Rings which were only served during Thanksgiving at my house in the 1970s and 80s. I've been looking for them since I've been hosting Thanksgiving dinner, and it's fantastic to find them here!” — Jennifer, Springerville, AZ
