For those who are unfamiliar with brown bread in a can, it may seem like some newfangled, space-age contrivance. But as those lucky enough to have been reared on this wholesome treat can tell you, it's a throwback to old New England. B&M's version has been tantalizing taste buds since 1867. Extremely moist and dense, this mouthwatering bread is made using only natural ingredients and has a rich molasses taste that comes through with every bite. Slice and serve right out of the can or, if you prefer, toast, bake, or microwave it. Great with cream cheese, peanut butter and jelly, or flavored cheese spreads topped with cold cuts. Available plain or with raisins. Approx. 8 servings in 16 oz. can.

“My mom use to have this smothered in butter with a cup of tea on cold winter nights....I buy it to experience a wonderful memory! Thanks” — Sherry, Daly City
“I was raised on this bread; so glad to see that it is available. I loved it.” — jerri, bullhead city, AZ
“It goes so well with baked beans like my grandma made.” — clyde devoid, colchester, VT
“i remember this since i was a little girl...my husband also said he had it since he was a kid..we both love it with butter, or cream cheese, and it was fun pushing it out of the can and slicing it already shaped....” — madeline and bill, drexel hill, PA
“My father (who died a few years ago) used to buy this all the time for me, when I was little. He and my mom were separated, and little things like the canned bread made his home seem more like home. I would eat it (smothered in butter) while he and I talked about what I did in school, or while we watched TV. That was 20 years ago, but it's so nice that memories like that can be kept alive by being able to buy a product like the brown bread in a can. Fun times at my dad's house.” — Ann Morse, El Centro, CA
