“This is the softest, most comfy flannel you will ever want to sleep in. When I was about 11 or 12, my great-grandmother came down from Brooklyn to live with my grandmother in Philadelphia because she was getting on in years. I used to stay with my grandmother occasionally to help her with my great-grandmother, and I forgot my nightgown on one visit. My great-grandmother, Grandmom Theresa, gave me her Lanz of Salzburg nightgown in the traditional royal blue color. I remember the pattern very clearly because I have never seen another pattern like it. The funny part is that Grandmom Theresa was only 4-foot-something and I was already 5 feet, 10 inches, so the nightgown only came to my mid-thighs. We all laughed so hard that my great-grandmother gave me the nightgown and told me to enjoy wearing it.
